This race was particularly special for Broc Feeney, who achieved his first-ever Bathurst 1000 podium finish, and for Co-Driver and team owner Jamie Whincup, who returned to the Bathurst podium for the first time since 2013. Feeneys podium finish propelled him to 2nd in the Drivers Championship, and the stellar results from the Triple Eight Race Engineering Team sealed their 12th Supercars Teams Championship title!
