Dubbed the Billion Dollar Baby when it was first launched in 2006, the Holden VE Commodore was an executive car that arguably represented Holden in Australia at the absolute peak of its powers.

Development on the new Commodore began in 1999 and over the course of 7 years of design, engineering and testing, over 1 billion Australian Dollars was spent to make it the largest and most expensive Holden ever developed.

Couple that expenditure with the 3.4 million kilometres of testing carried out on the project, the new VE was an Australian designed and developed model that would not only replace the popular outgoing VZ Commodore series for the brand, but go on to win world-wide acclaim and sell over half a million units in its various forms both domestically and internationally during a lifespan ranging from 2006 to 2013.

But all those research, design and development hours spent by a manufacturer count for nothing when you get a car in the hands of a motoring enthusiast with a love of adding their custom flair to their pride and joy – and the VE has been no stranger to this over many years.

Whether it be a wild aftermarket paint job, new wheels or any number of upgrades or modifications to the exterior, interior or running gear, the options are endless – depending on your budget of course.

With this in mind, Authentic Collectables presents the first edition in our street custom range.

This modified VE Commodore SS V features various custom modifications including an incredible Hullabaloo paint job with matching engine bay and interior accents, 24-inch 5 spoke wheels with liquorice strap tyres, tinted windows, black roof including a rear roof visor, ducktail spoiler, custom side SS stripes, Fresshmint number plates and more.

This street custom edition is scheduled to be produced in 1:18 scale die-cast with fully opening parts and high detail in an exclusive limited edition with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
